PAYMENT & SECURITY
1. Credit card payments
Payment can be made with the following credit cards: VISA, Mastercard and American Express.
We cooperate with PayPal - one of the world's leading systems for payments over the Internet. They are leading distributors of payment services over the Internet and are certified by banks and credit card comapnies to handle payment transactions at the highest possible level. All credit card payments on www.swedishdesignhouse.com are handled by PayPal.
If You choose to pay with Your credit card You are automatically forwarded to PayPal that takes care of Your payment. You type Your credit card number which is sent to PayPal through an encrypted connection (with an encryption length of 168 bits, which is the highest level commercially available). PayPal also makes sure Your browser is runnuing at SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) of 3.0 or higher. When the payment has gone through You can choose to save Your information in a PayPal-account to make future payments easier, but this is entirely voluntary. If You want to You can create an account before Your first payment. If so, go to www.paypal.com and register Your e-mail address and a password. Then log in with this information, click on Add credit card and type Your credit card information. Your PayPal account is now ready to be used. At future payments You just type Your password when You get to the PayPal website and Your payment is finished!
When we get information from PayPal that Your payment is accepted we send Your shipment to You.
PayPal never shares Your credit card information, not even to us. All information sent between Your computer and PayPals safe payment servers is automatically encrypted according to strict bank norms. This means that the information is sent through a secure connection and that Your credit card information cannot be seen by anyone. No extra fees are added to Your payment!

Verification Value Code (CVV)
This is a security procedure by the credit card companies to limit fraud when paying over the Internet. It demands of a credit card holder to state a CVV-number in connection with the transaction to verify that he/she has the card in his/her hand. The CVV-code is security feature for transactions through the Internet that is now used by most credit card companies. The code is a 3 or 4 digit number, which represents a cryptic control of of the engraved information on the credit card. That is why the CVV-code is not a part of the credit card number itself. The CVV-code makes sure the credit card holder really posesses the card and that the credit card is legal. Every credit card company have their own name for the CVV-code, but the function is the same. VISA refers to the code as CVV2, Mastercard call it CVC2 and American Express call it CID. The back side of most Visa and Mastercards contain the 16 digit credit card number followed by the CVV/CVC-code. Some banks inly show the last 4 digits of the credit card number followed by the the code.
2. Invoice (only for our Swedish customers)
We offer payment through invoice only to our Swedish customers. The invoice is included in the package with Your products and payment shall be made within 14 days. A fee of 50 SEK is charged on payments which are overdue.
If You choose to pay through invoice You need to state Your Swedish personal number (or organization number for companies) at the register. This is a security measure for us to make sure no one is trying to make a purchase in Your name, Your personal information will not be shared with anyone and is handled in accordance with the Swedish law on personal information (Personuppgiftslagen).
Payments through invoice are only accepted for persons nationally registered in Sweden and which are 18 years of age.
3. Advance payments
Swedish Design House is owned by Forsler & Sjögren Design Handelsbolag (see under the heading About us at the bottom right of the screen). You can choose to pay in advance to our bank account. More information about how to do this is sent to You in a separate e-mail if You have chosen this method of payment.
As soon as we have recieved Your payment we will send Your products to You. No extra fees are charged! The products are reserved for 5 days. After that time the order is cancelled if the payment has not gone through.
4. Cash on delivery payments (only for our Swedish customers)
Shipments within Sweden can also be payed for using cash on delivery as a payment method. Your products are then sent by the Swedish Postal Service and You pay as You collect Your package at Your representative. If You choose this method of payment a fee of 42 SEK is charged.
