1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
It is, and should feel, safe to buy a product from Swedish Design House.
We always follow the Swedish law concerning e-commerce, "Distans- och hemförsäljningslagen" (2005:59), which can be found on the website of the Swedish consumer agency www.konsumentverket.se, and the rules of "Svensk Distanshandel", the organization representing amongst others Swedish e-commerce companies www.distanshandel.se
2. Age limit
You have to be 18 years of age to make a purchase at Swedish Design House.
3. Range of products
Swedish Design House only sells Swedish design products from established and new designers. Our range of products is constantly updated with news and offers. There are no minimum requirements when ordering. All purchases are equally welcome!
If stated: Out of stock the product is not in stock at the moment but we are awaiting a new delivery. You can still order the product. We try to specify as clearly as possible in the text when the product is expected to arrive.
If stated: Sent for when ordered we do not keep the product in stock but it is sent especially for You as You place Your order. We try to specify as clearly as possible in the text when the product is expected to arrive. We always send for the product as quickly as possible.

4. Ordering
When You have placed an order a verification is automatically sent to the e-mail address You stated when ordering. If You do not recieve the verification the address You stated might be wrong. If this happens, please contact us on info@swedishdesignhouse.com. It is important that You save Your verification until You have recived You products.
The order is not valid if we cannot establish Your postal address. The contract between us is established as we confirm Your order in the verification.
5. Prices
The prices in the online shop is presented in US Dollars, British Pounds, Euros and Swedish Crowns and include Swedish value added tax (VAT) of 25%. For orders sent outside the European Union (EU) the VAT is withdrawn in the register when You choose Your country of residence.
The prices are excluding the cost of freight. The cost of freight is shown when You choose Your country of residence. (The freight cost for all deliveries up to 1 000 SEK within Sweden is 79 SEK, and no freight cost within Sweden is charged for orders over 1 000 SEK.)
The products to countries other than Sweden are always sent with as low a cost as possible using The Swedish Postal Service.
We reserve the right to, without notice, raise prices. The prizes shown when You place Your order are the prices that are correct.
6. Return policy
6.1 Within Sweden
If the purchase is made to an address within Sweden You have the right to return the product within 14 days. For information and guidelines on how to do this, please contact us on returns@swedishdesignhouse.com before You return the product. You have to pay for the cost of returning the product to us. Products which are re-sent with cash on delivery will not be accepted by us.
You cannot return a product bought on SALE or an item that is produced and ordered by us especially for You.
Packages not picked up by You which are re-sent to us are not a covered by the return policy. For more information, see Shipping & Delivery at the bottom right of the website.
You can cancel Your order without cost until the product is packed. If You wish to do so, send an e-mail with Your order number to returns@swedishdesignhouse.com. We pack and send products twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays.
We always follow the Swedish law concerning e-commerce, Distans- och hemförsäljningslagen (2005:59), where the right to return products within Sweden is established. The law does not apply to purchases by companies.
Remember - to avoid problems, please contact us before Yoy re-send a product!
6.2 Other EU-countries
If the purchase is made to an address to an EU-country other than Sweden You have the right to return the product within 7 work days from the day You recieved the product or from the day the contract is signed. This right is layed down in the EU directive concerning distance contracts.
7. Reclamations and consumer rights
If You recieve a product that You have not ordered or a wrongly expedited product please contact us immediately on returns@swedishdesignhouse.com so that we can correct the error. Do not forget to state the order number of your order. We will send You the right product including any expences You may have had. If we want the other product returned to us we will of course pay for the freight costs. State what bank and account You want the money to be deposited to. Payment will be made within 30 days.
Packages sent using cash on delivery will not be accepted by us!
Reclamations on products damaged during freight shall be made at the place you recieve your package!
In case of a dispute we refer to the Swedish reclamation board, "Allmänna reklamationsnämnden" www.arn.se. We always follow their recommendations. The Swedish law of consumer rights, "Konsumentköpslagen", which sees to your interests as a customer, is of course applicable when You make a purchase at Swedish Design House.
No reclamations, other than when they are damaged during freight, can be made on the products in our Vintage category, since they for natural reasons may have minor defects.
Remember - to avoid problems please contact us before You return a product!
8. Privacy
You always have to state your name, address and mobile phone number so that we can handle your delivery and contact you if need be. Except for the parties involved in the delivery your personal information will never be given to a third party.
9. Responsibility
Swedish Design House is not responsible for any injury caused by our products. Our responsibility is solely restricted to the prize of the product bought.
Exceptions are cases where the company's insurance cover the damage and where the insurance company in the particular case approves to pay for the costs.
If Swedish Design House cannot fulfill its duties on time (within 30 days) and this is not caused by the customer or any circumstances on the side of the customer, You as a customer have the right according to Swedish law to cancel our contract. Swedish Design House will then re-pay the sum recieved by You within 30 days.
10. Force majeure
If the responsibilities of Swedish Design House according to this contract is prevented by force majeure Swedish Design House shall, during the time of the hindrance, considered to be excempt from its responsibilities of the contract. Neither is Swedish Design House responsible for paying for any damages caused by the hindrance. Force majeure covers strikes, hindrances during transport, export restrictions, decisions taken by government or other authorities, lockouts, blockades or other hindrances concerning the ability to work, such as fires, accidents or other similar circumstances outside the control of the company, which impedes Swedish Design House from fulfulling its obligations.
11. Other
All photographs published on www.swedishdesignhouse.com are either taken by us or we have recieved permission from our suppliers to use them. If You wish to use any of the photographs on our website, please contact us on info@swedishdesignhouse.com.
We cannot guarantee that the colors shown on the website exactly represent the colors of the product in reality. How the color is shown is often dependent on the setting of Your computer. If You are unsure we will be more than happy to e-mail more detailed pictures of the product You are interested in. If so, please contact us on info@swedishdesignhouse.com.
We reserve the right to make changes in prices and for some products to be out of stock. There may also be some incorrect statements on the website.
The terms and conditions above are applicable for all contracts You sign with Swedish Design House. By ordering a product you accept these terms and conditions. No purchase is final until You have seen and approved of the condition of the product.
