Celery 40g
Celery is a Mediterranean plant known since ancient times - proof is the name of an ancient Greek colony in Sicily.
There are different types of celery that differ in the size of the leaves, the twig and the root. The largest plants reach 40 cm in height, while the diameter of the twig differs, as well as the size and color of the leaves. And it is one of the few aromatic herbs from which everything can be consumed - seeds, leaves, trunk and root.
With an intense, slightly bitter taste, celery is combined with milder flavors such as carrot or chicken. In Greek cuisine, it is often found in soups and legumes, but it also goes well with tomatoes - raw in salads or cooked (but not in braised ones).
