A training roller for both a targeted and flexible use enables ground and lunging work in a wide variety of application and requirement areas.
Depending on the horse’s age and level of education/training, the chest and shoulders are still significantly narrower than the area of the rib cage behind. Consequently, this may lead to slipping/tipping over of a conventional training roller when lunging with training aids as soon as the horse exerts some forward pull on the training roller.
This slippage might be increased if the attachment rings of the lunge girth are further away from where the girth rests on the horse. The thicker the pads, the greater the distance. This possibly causes a conventional training roller must be girthed tighter when young horses get used to training aids, otherwise they will slip/tilt. Unsteady training rollers that slip forward often cause chafe marks and discomfort for the horse. A training roller that is girthed too tight is not a solution!
The training roller FLEX FIT therefore deliberately dispenses with thick padding and is instead equipped with stable, wide and extra flat felt paddings. The special stainless steel withers bracket, with side parts that can be individually adjusted in angle, ensures optimal adaptation to the respective rib arch of the horse, for an ideal support and pressure distribution while at the same time safely relieving the withers and the spinous processes without thick padding and regardless of how the respective withers are pronounced.
