Falken Fabrications Mod Bumper is a modular bumper designed by Jeepers, for Jeepers. No two Jeeps are alike, so here we give everyone the freedom to create the bumper that suits their taste or their needs — whether the plan is hardcore off-roading or overlanding.
The Hoop serves a dual purpose, it protects the grille and the winch, and it also provides a perfectly stable mounting point for lights. Oh, and it looks very Jeepish!
Designed and manufactured in Sweden from Swedish steel.

Description
Article no.: JK006
The Mod Bumper is designed from the ground up to deliver class-leading off-road performance. What we offer is the best possible approach angle, ensuring the bumper never becomes the limiting factor when climbing steep ledges. At the same time, it’s strong enough to handle contact with those same ledges if the situation demands it — or if things simply go sideways.
That said, the truth is that most JKs spend plenty of time on the road, whether for daily driving or overlanding. Our ambition was therefore to eliminate unnecessary weight wherever possible, and today the Mod Bumper is one of the lightest on the market. It’s no fun losing precious lift height — bought for hard-earned money — just because the bumper is heavy.

Modular design
Choose the width and style of your end caps, add a skid plate or a hoop — all depending on how you use your Jeep and what you think looks best.

Low weight with maintained strength
The days when a front bumper had to weigh 70 kg and required two people or a jack to mount are officially over. Fully equipped, the Falken Mod Bumper weighs just below half of that — thanks to Swedish steel. Sweden might not be the world’s largest steel producer, but we are world-leading in high-quality steel.
The secret behind this weight reduction is simple: we use significantly stronger steel, S355/A50, than most other manufacturers. For comparison, many competitors build their bumpers from S235/A36, and some China-made options are even S185/A28.
This allows us to reduce plate thickness from 6 mm in softer steel to 4 mm while maintaining strength — and combined with smart design, this cuts weight dramatically.
The hoop, for its part, is made from 40x3 mm S355 tubing.
Designed and manufactured in Sweden
The Falken Mod Bumper is an entirely Swedish product, designed and manufactured by Swedish enthusiasts.
Our workshop is located outside Norrtälje, where we design our products using modern tools such as 3D scanning and CAD. Manufacturing then happens in-house using a CNC plasma table, a 120-ton NC press brake, tube bending, and welding.
Not only are you supporting small-scale Swedish manufacturing, but together we also minimize environmental impact. Our products haven’t travelled around the globe before ending up on your Jeep, and the steel is produced according to Swedish environmental standards.
Shackle mounts
Cut from 20 mm S355 plate and welded on both the inside and outside of the bumper. When it comes to this part, we haven’t skimped on material thickness — these mounts are designed to withstand recovery situations beyond the ordinary.
That said, we’ve also put effort into making the design both attractive and functional. The mounts fit both traditional steel shackles and modern soft shackles. All edges are rounded with a 2 mm radius to protect soft shackles and ensure the powder coating lasts as long as possible. Practical, yet also a visual finishing touch.
Recessed winch mount
The Falken Mod Bumper is designed around one of the largest high-performance winches on the market, the Warn Zeon 12, which fits like a glove. This ensures all similar-sized or smaller winches with the standard 10” × 4.5” mounting pattern will also fit. The mount is recessed between the frame rails where the winch enjoys maximum protection, a low center of gravity, and unrestricted airflow to the radiator.
Powder coating
The Mod Bumper is powder-coated in two layers: first a zinc-based primer for rust protection, then a black textured topcoat.
Installation
Beyond appearance and both on- and off-road performance, one of our key design goals was user-friendly installation. We’ve dealt with far too many bumpers that seem to require an extra elbow joint, miniature hands, or two people just to lift them into place.Regardless of how many modules you choose, the Falken Mod Bumper is designed for simple installation with basic hand tools. All mounting points are easy to reach, and we use flag nuts and welded nuts wherever possible to simplify the process.
We haven’t listed an estimated installation time, as everyone’s circumstances differ. But it’s worth mentioning that one of our prototype testers commented that removing the stock bumper took longer and was more complicated than installing the Mod Bumper!
