The company Segebaden has ancestry. It was founded in 1893 and has been manufacturing the esteemed wooden sledge since the 1930s. We took over in 2010 and it is with both reverence and care that we continue to run the business. We quickly made a decision to stop manufacturing the fiberglass sledges that in recent years have been in Segebaden's range. By returning to wood sledges alone, we are working fully in line with our belief in sustainability. The feeling for wood has grown during our years as owners of Föllinge saw and the craftsmanship in the production of Segebadenpulkan feels very natural to us. Many have a personal relationship with segebaden- pulkan. Perhaps the name brings strong memories to life, of childhood tours on the mountain, quietly gliding through nature. Just such memories we have ourselves. We were lulled to sleep in wooden sledges from Segebaden and perhaps that is exactly why we are passionate about passing on the tradition. With us, you can renovate the sledge that your grandfather was in as a child, buy a brand new one or build one yourself, using the same technology and materials that were used over 60 years ago. We hope that you, your children and their children will be able to enjoy the Segebaden sled for many years.

Dan Eliasson
Dan grew up in the small village of Föllinge in northern Jämtland, but now lives on the island of Frösön in a secluded house down by Lake Storsjön. It is a perfect place to be able to paddle, go long distance skating and skiing. Dan lives with his wife Sanna, their three children and three dogs. The children know nothing but that it is quite natural to camp to the mountains in -15 degrees, to ski all day to get to that remote fishing pond with beautiful char. You fix the food yourself by hunting moose, fishing, picking berries.m, etc.
Dan has been involved in most sports in Jämtland, but mainly football and biathlon. For a while, Dan was the coach, chairman, pitch attendant and centre-back of Föllinge Ik's Div 4 team. As the others warmed up, Dan drew the lines around the pitch. I guess that says the most about a person who really wants something! Now it is no longer the football team that gets Dan's focus, but the drive to ensure that the fine brand Segebaden survives to the next generations.
Kim
Kim, who hails from Germany, is basically a furniture upholsterer and adventurer. She has a large dog yard with draft dogs as well as some pampered Vorsteh (who sleeps on the kitchen couch). Kim worked for many years competing with draft dogs as well as driving tourists on drag dog experiences. Numbers she works mostly as an upholsterer, with everything from renovating helicopter seats to old sofas. However, she spends most of her time sewing Segebaden's products and she is very involved in the product development of the sewn products. She knows what it takes to make it last! As a semi-professional draghun driver, she simply doesn't accept that things break down when she's out on her expeditions. This philosophy also permeates Segebadenpulkan's products. Kim lives as sustainably as she teaches and her farm is filled with plants that fill the stores for the long Winter of Jämtland.
